Achieve Results Through Goal Setting

Our lives are so busy; filled with going to school, long days at work, and demanding kid's schedules. No matter where you are in life, it is hard to find time for YOU. It is so easy let exercise slip out of our daily to-do list. Goal setting will help you get and stay focused on what YOU want to achieve this year.

When beginning an exercise regime it is important to have a vision of where you want to end up. It will help you stay motivated and get better results along the way.

There are 2 types of goals. The first kind of goals are tasks goals. These goals are small daily goals which focus on the little things you can do every day to reach a big goal in the end. The other type of goal is an outcome goal which is the end result to all of your hard work.

It is important to have an outcome goal in mind and then set many different task goals to reach your main goal. This way you have a road map to success.

Here is an example of what goal setting looks like...

Outcome goal: Lose 15 lbs

Goals to help me lose 15 lbs: Eat 5 servings of fresh veggies and fruit daily, drink 10 glasses of fresh water daily, run 3x per week, and attend GGF.

Goal Setting Tips:

*Set realistic goals
*Write your goals down
*Make your task goals fun
-Don't make daily runs a goal if you don't like running, pick a type of cardio you enjoy.
*Read over your goals often
