Sauteed Carrots with Sage

I just made this recipe for dinner with a baked Halibut and it was so delicious!  I didn't have sage or pepper, so I can only imagine how it will taste when I make it again with all the ingredients.  I also browned the butter a little before adding the carrots and it tasted great.  Enjoy!


Sauteed Carrots with Sage
~1 teaspoon butter
~1 teaspoon olive oil
~1 1/2 cups diagonally cut carrots
~2 tablespoons water
~salt
~pepper
~chopped, fresh sage leaves

1)  Melt the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.  Add oil, carrots, and water to the pan.  Partially cover and cook for 10 minutes.

2)  Add salt and pepper, and increase the heat to medium-high.  Cook for 4 minutes or until lightly browned.  Top with chopped sage.

Yields 2 servings.  Serving size is 1/2 cup.  Calories 75.
