healthFULL foods: Welcome to the Start of Your New Lifestyle

Great nutrition is a must on your road to fitness and to achieving the body you want.  A hot bod is made in the kitchen!!!  Yep, that's right you can squat and crunch all day long, but if you aren't eating right you will NOT see results.  I love food, and I joke that being pregnant made me love food even more.  I eat every 2-3 hours and feel like I'm always snacking, yet I weigh less than I did before I had my daughter and my body fat percentage continues to plummet.

So what's my secret?  Great, healthy food like the cafe that just opened inside Spectrum Athletic Club.  The cafe is called healthFULL foods.  It's open to everyone (you do not need to be a member of Spectrum).

They make all their food from scratch, with high fiber (fiber post here), no processed sugars, and no unhealthy fats.  They manage to make everything taste so delicious and that is the best part!  Not only is their food so good, but so good for you.

They mill their own organic whole grain/whole wheat flours and they have this amazing fiber blend that they add to their baked goods that are high in Omega 3s and Omega 6s.

Their goal is "to help people live a healthier lifestyle with food that tastes great!I just love that!  It makes me so happy!

What I love most about their far, is that they offer fresh baked muffins daily (only $1.50):  Banana Nut (I had this one today and Reese was fighting me for it), Carrot Cake, Coffee Cake, Apple Bran, Chocolate Zucchini (which is the best muffin ever), Blueberry, and Lemon Poppy Seed. 
*Reese and I make a stop after my workouts and grab a little muffin to snack on.  I don't know who likes them more, me or her.  Haha!

They also have two fresh daily soups; one is a vegetarian option and the other a protein.  Smoothies, delicious breakfasts, salads, wraps, sandwiches, hummus, and even cookies...There's something delicious and healthFULL for everyone.

A friend of mine just took in a Red Velvet Cake recipe that they modified to make it much healthier.  They used beets instead of food coloring, and stevia/agave instead of sugar, plus the cake is loaded with fiber.  She said it tasted heavenly!

  1. Hi ladies! Thank you so much for such an awesome and inspiring blog! I love your approach on health and fitness- it's logical! My friend Victoria went to college with one of you and told me how your blog was inspiring her to lose weight and be healthy. I have a question that maybe you can research when you find the time. A friend told me about how we aren't supposed to drink water after eating a meal because it dilutes our digestive juices and inhibits our bodies from absorbing all the nutrients we eat. You're supposed to wait something like an hour after eating to drink again. I LOVE my water and drink it constantly so this would be really tough for me to do and I'd probably end up not drinking enough. What do you say about this? Is it rubbish? She swears that once she stopped drinking fluids after eating a few years ago that that is what helped her lose a lot of weight. Thanks for your time!!! Melissa
